Technics SL-G700EE-S Network Player
Description
Top class, quality sound
The SL-G700 Super Audio CD Network Player is a feature-packed digital player that delivers the highest quality audio from most of today's audio transmission and storage media, from traditional CD/SACD to today's high-resolution audio media and streaming services.

High quality premium D/A converter based on dual mono circuit
The circuit of the digital-to-analog converter is the most important element of the device that outputs an analog audio signal: it is in this circuit that the digital signal read from the carrier (for example, from a CD) is converted to analog with the original waveform. High-quality DAC AK4497 devices from Asahi Kasei Microdevices were chosen as converters for the right and left channels, which are distinguished by a high level of signal to noise and low distortion. The power supply is supplied separately to each converter and is divided into five sections depending on the purpose. To ensure the accuracy of signal conversion, the clock generator is connected to a separate battery power circuit. The use of two asymmetrical mono circuits avoids mutual interference between the left and right channels, raising the bar for reproducing recorded sound and sound space to a new level.

External amplification module
The filter circuit, located behind the D/A converter, determines the quality of the audio coming to the analog output. Instead of an IC op amp, the SL-G700's filter circuit contains a special amplifying module of an original design. The use of low noise transistors and thin film resistors suppresses noise generated in the circuit. Fine-tuning operating parameters such as operating current improves response, signal-to-noise ratio, and distortion. All this ensures high linearity and fidelity of sound reproduction by the SL-G700 device, including the smallest nuances of the recording.

Battery Clock Power Supply
The quality of the clock generator significantly affects the quality of digital audio signal processing. The best option for a circuit as sensitive as that of a digital-to-analog converter clock and an audio system is to completely isolate the oscillator supply circuit from any noise or fluctuations in the mains supply. Technics has a wealth of isolated battery power technology that enables low-noise digital audio interfaces, including those for digital-to-analogue converters. In addition, the audio system clock is also tuned to operate from an ultra-low jitter oscillator. All this makes it possible to minimize noise in the supply circuit, thereby improving the quality of the clock generator, and, consequently, the purity of the sound.
High speed quiet hybrid power supply
To reproduce sound with high fidelity, the quality of the power supply is of particular importance. Noise in the power supply and the stability of the power supply directly affect the sound quality reproduced from audio signals, especially for analog channels. The SL-G700 has a dedicated open-loop analog audio output power supply capable of suppressing modulation frequency fluctuations. Combined with an ingeniously designed stabilized power supply, this dedicated power supply delivers stable, low-noise power. This dedicated circuit does not use general purpose ICs; in addition, the parameters of this circuit have been carefully tuned to provide the high signal-to-noise ratio and therefore the faithful sound reproduction that Technics products are known for.

FFT level at the output of the power supply Provides a lower noise floor compared to analog power supplies
Dynamic Load Characteristic Provides voltage stability even when the load fluctuates.
The USB input signal amplifier is additionally equipped with voltage regulators based on resistors made of a thin non-magnetic carbon film that reliably protects against magnetic interference, as well as high-quality Ruby Mica capacitors, which are characterized by low dielectric losses, high voltage resistance and temperature stability. In addition, to ensure high fidelity of sound, the design employs various noise reduction measures, including low ESR film resistors (on the LAN power terminal) and pulse transformer isolation at the digital signal output.
High quality headphone output
Typically, the analog output signal (balanced or not) and the headphone output signal come from the same digital-to-analog converter circuit. At the same time, the SL-G700 has a separate headphone transducer circuit that uses Technics' proprietary audio signal processing LSIs, JENO Engine digital amplifiers to eliminate distortion and optimize noise shaping. Separating the analog output and headphone circuits eliminates interference between the two circuits for different purposes. In addition, in each circuit, the sound is adjusted in the most appropriate way, which improves the signal quality at both outputs. The SL-G700 is also equipped with a performance optimization system that automatically starts the JENO amplifier when headphones are connected. This eliminates the undesirable influence of the analog output signal on the sound quality when headphones are not connected.
In addition, the Class AA headphone amplifier uses separate circuits to amplify the audio signal: the first increases the voltage, the second - the supply current. This allows high resolution PWM output from the JENO output to be accurately converted to an analog signal ideal for a wide range of headphone load impedance. Such a signal is characterized by low distortion over a wide frequency range.

Optimal circuit activation system
This system allows you to stop the operation of various digital modules (display module, analog and digital interfaces) to reduce noise when playing music. In addition, in the "Disc Only" playback mode, the network interface loop is completely disabled, which further enhances the sound quality of SACD/CD.High quality components
Only carefully selected and finely tuned high-quality components are used in the parts of the device that most affect the sound quality, ensuring clarity and quality of reproduction.
Four-node layout
The digital audio player includes a plurality of electrical circuits, such as a switching power supply circuit requiring a large amount of power to operate, a digital interface circuit processing high frequency signals, and various analog circuits. The SL-G700 is divided into four nodes, each containing circuits of the same type and signal level. The nodes are separated by baffles to prevent mutual interference between the circuits, thereby improving sound quality. In addition, this design increases the strength of the frame and prevents the vibration of electrical components, and with it the deterioration of sound quality.Robust drive mechanism
When playing a disc, reading accuracy is of decisive importance for sound quality. The CD drive mechanism is equipped with a triple frame to ensure reading accuracy and prevent vibration from being transmitted to the outside of the mechanism. In addition, the SL-G700 is equipped with a stable die-cast aluminum platter that effectively absorbs vibration and noise to ensure fidelity.Strong insulator
The inner surface of the insulator is reinforced with ribs and an iron plate 4 mm thick, which increases its weight and strength. This high-density isolator has been specifically designed to effectively suppress resonance in the SL-G700.
Support for different music sources and connection methods
The SL-G700 can connect to other devices wirelessly via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and AirPlay 2. It can also play audio from streaming services such as Spotify, TIDAL, and Internet radio. The device also supports Google Assistant.*Characteristics
