Modern speaker units and acoustic lens

The key performance of the 8 cm woofer unit has been greatly improved as a result of various improvements such as weight reduction of the voice coil, increased airflow and increased diaphragm stiffness. The woofer delivers superior performance and clarity to make mids and highs sound pleasing to the ear. The 2cm high-resolution dome tweeter features a lightweight silk diaphragm for beautiful, long-lasting sound. In addition, the acoustic lens is optimized for the new tweeter shape and extends the sound reproduction range.

Three JENO Engine Amplifiers

For accurate reproduction of high and low frequencies in a 3.1 configuration, the system is equipped with three JENO Engine digital amplifiers. These amplifiers feature high processing power and precise balance of left and right channels and subwoofer, while the Space Tune function optimizes the sound quality depending on the location of the audio system.

Space Tune™

The SC-C70MK2 is equipped with Space Tune™ Auto for optimally balanced sound at the touch of a button. This feature measures test signals picked up by the microphone built into the SC-C70MK2 to analyze wall distance and reflection conditions. The sound field is then optimized automatically. In addition, the Space Tune™ feature includes 3 modes (Open Space, Against a Wall, and In a Corner) for easy tuning, and uses the Technics Audio Center app to fine-tune the sound quality based on the listener's location.

Multiroom mode

With multiple built-in Chromecast speakers, you can play a variety of music streaming services in multiple rooms, or listen to different music in different rooms*. In addition, if you use the Technics Audio Center app and have another app that is compatible with Technics devices, you can listen to other music sources in multi-room mode, such as Bluetooth, AUX, Optical input, USB, Internet radio, as well as OTTAVA™ f SC-C70MK2 compatible music streaming services.

The widest range of playback sources

With built-in support for the Chromecast player, this model plays not only CDs and radio, but also a wide variety of music streaming services. Broadcast from Spotify Connect, Deezer and Internet radio services is provided. Also available are AirPlay 2, Bluetooth playback, Wi-Fi playback, network playback, USB storage, and analog/digital input, allowing you to enjoy a variety of audio sources from a single device. The user interface of our Technics Audio Center app for iOS/Android smartphones has been redesigned and is now much easier to use.

Up to 9 presets can be set on the main unit, such as your favorite Internet radio stations, DEEZER playlist, and songs from a USB flash drive. This allows you to listen to your favorite music without launching the application.
